Since 2007, Josey Padlan Simpson has been commissioned as a Notary Public for the State of Maryland, and is a member of the American Association of Notaries. All fees collected from notarial acts are donated to various non-profit organizations to support their mission and programs, and she is proud to serve our community in this capacity.
Josey has spent her career serving others and building relationships in her roles with O’Connell & Lawrence, Inc., MCCC, University of Maryland, Argyle Country Club, and UNIGLOBE Travel MidAtlantic.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park, with a major in marketing, and is currently enrolled in the MicroMasters for Core MBA Curriculum at the Smith School.
Josey is the recipient of the Managing with Excellence Award, Regional Administration Distinguished Service Award, and Easter Seals Distinguished Service Award from UNIGLOBE International. She was nominated for the Above and Beyond Effort Award – Microsoft/USO Salute to the Troops Program, America’s Army Strength of the Nation Award, and for the ATHENA Award sponsored by the Olney Chamber of Commerce honoring women for their “dedication of self and generosity of spirit” in the Olney-Sandy Spring community.
Josey has lived in Olney, Maryland for over 30 years with her family and two pups, and is a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and creating handcrafted gifts to benefit special causes such as the TerpVets Student Veterans Organization at the University of Maryland, and Operation Paws for Homes.
