A Notary Public is an official of integrity appointed by state government – typically by the Secretary of State – to serve the public as an impartial witness to administer oaths, witness the signing of documents, and deter fraud by verifying the identify of a person signing important documents. These official acts are called notarizations, or notarial acts.
Since 2007, Maryland Notary Services has served our community by performing notarial services for both businesses and individuals.
The established fee for notarial services in Maryland is $8.00 per signature on the first copy of the document and $4.00 for each signature on each additional copy of the same document.
