Josey is an active volunteer and has been involved in several community and service organizations.
She is an Assistant Scoutmaster of BSA Troop 264, serving the National Capital Area Council since 1999, and has managed the logistics of over 50 Eagle Scout Courts of Honor ceremonies, and the 100+ Eagles Celebration to honor Scoutmaster Dennis Bogan. She initiated the Adopt-A-Soldier Program with Troop 264, supporting more than 150 military personnel and K9 units during their deployments, sending over 500 care packages with a few comforts of home.
Josey supports the TerpVets Student Veterans Organization at the University of Maryland, Operation Paws for Homes, and St. Patrick’s Church. She is an associate member of the Medstar Montgomery Medical Center Women’s Board, Montgomery County Small Business Association, and was active with the Belmont PTA.
